Jun 29, 2014 · So instead of spending $$ on vboost controlers, I fiddled around and figured out how to wire a toggle into the correct wire- so flipping it one way retains the stock vboost function- with or without a 3000rpm tboost switch. Now with my new toggle, I can flip it, and the servo opens the butterflies all the way, and holds them open 100% of the time.

Jun 26, 2019 · To me, the throttle feels more sensitive in the lower RPMs when vboost is open. As these guys noted, dyno tests have shown that you lose power if its open before the factory intended spot (starts just below 6K) I ran open vboost all the time for a few years. I just installed an aftermarket vboost controller with adjustable RPM levels.

However, the 3-way switch is only of use for if the VBoost has NOT been removed. Show us a pic of the cyl head to intake manifold area and we'll know about your VBoost presence/absence.

Aug 22, 2024 · Many guys here like to keep the VBoost operational, though the Dynojet Stage 7 jet kit says to remove VBoost. One advantage to keeping it, you can synchronize the carburetors easier with VBoost. I had an S2000 AP1 for years, and the VBoost is a lot of fun, when compared to VTEC. The S2000 is now in our son's possession.
