Nov 7, 2004 · 73GSCOUPE, the Capri is a good candidate for a v8. I have a 1970 GT capri, and am putting a Lexus 4.0L Quad Cam in it. One thing you will need to check is with your local registry authority. A lot of the rules have just changed as to what engine you can put in what car.

Jul 19, 2004 · Im looking for a radiator for my Capri, its running a 302 Windsor whish is stock and I just need a radiator to get the thing on the road, I dont want to go to the expense of a custom one just yet and was looking for some input as to what radiators will fit with minimal effort.

Jul 1, 2003 · That V6 was a heap of crap in the bigger Zodiac at the time. Suffered all sorts of problems from piston slap, oil pump shaft breaking, timing gear failure.But strange enough it wasn't a bad engine in the Capri mainly I guess the radiator was better possitioned as top of engine run low on coolant in the bigger car.Essex engine was crap but the latter 2.8 German V6 was much much better..

Dec 26, 2004 · Yeah man i reckon you go with the rover v8. The other option is a lexus v8, they go hard man. Pretty light too. We put one into a capri and it wasnt to much of a squeze. Just had to make a few minor modifications
