AMPO opens as MilPay in Korea transitions to USAFMCOM Nov. 7, 2024 - In Korea, the leaves aren’t the only things changing as the U.S. Army’s military pay mission there transitioned from military to civilians for the first time.

USAFMCOM is responsible for Army FC functional support in the areas of systems, audit and compliance, financial operations, and Enterprise Resource Planning business standardization.

USAFMCOM is responsible for Army finance and comptroller functional support in the areas of systems, audit and compliance, financial operations, and Enterprise Resource Planning business standardization.

USAFMCOM serves as a premier team of financial management professionals capable of supporting the Joint Force through accountability, stewardship and compliance.

USAFMCOM is comprised of five directorates: Army Financial Services, Audit Response Center, Business Process Management, Systems Support Operations, and Military Pay Operations. Each directorate serves a distinct – but equally vital – task within both Army finance and information systems support.

Army Financial Services oversees enterprise-wide finance support to expeditionary and garrison finance and comptroller organizations, sustains electronic commerce and banking capabilities, provides technical training and evaluation of financial management units, and provides oversight and support to Army classified finance and accounting operations.

In 2010, U.S. Army Finance Command was renamed to the U.S. Army Financial Management Command, or USAFMCOM. USAFMCOM has continued to evolve since then as the Army has postured itself to meet the nation’s current challenges.

In her role, Williams ensures USAFMCOM enables the readiness of America’s Army by serving as the Army’s focal point for all finance and comptroller operations while providing capabilities that facilitate accountability, auditability and stewardship.
