Nov 4, 2022 · A URGI is a military upper that somehow Geissele got the name rights for. The URGI will have a SureFire 4prong muzzle, Daniel Defense barrel and gas block, Geissele Mk16 hand guard in DDC, Colt or FN or Mueller upper receiver, Colt or FN BCG, Geissele Airborne charging handle in ddc.

The urgi program was an upgrade for certain units M4s, essentially they took an issued M4, and they replaced the barrel with a daniel defense barrel, and the handguard with a geissele mk16 handguard Stands for upper reciever group improved

Feb 6, 2023 · I started with a 14.5 URGI and then bought a 10.3” URGI and probably have mine configured nearly the same with RC2/EOTech/Magnifier/Scout light/LAW folder. I’ve taken the 14.5” out to approx 700yds with 77gr IMI and a Vortex Razor 1-6; big fan of that combo for intermediate range work

The urgi was an impulse buy on Black Friday that took way too long for my impatient self to wait for, so when brownells had a stripped mk18 upper go on sale I grabbed that too. I’m running a BCM angled fore grip, DD front iron, Unity riser with buis built in rear with a Romeo 4t pro on top.

Jul 27, 2022 · This is not a definitive list but it covers majority of what you’ll need to get a clone correct URGI. Generally speaking SOCOM runs Colt lowers however there is at least one picture of a FN lower with a URGI upper. Optics will very from issues items to personal choice items. Same for lights, I’m glad to see more SureFire lights being used.

Mar 9, 2022 · r/URGI. The mk18s are cool, but URGI is definitely the more updated rifle. The barrel and mlok is the real shine/difference. If you get a criterion or DD barrel, you’re going to have a great time. But even if you stay with the geissele barrel, theres no evidence its a bad barrel only peoples assumptions.
