The University of Pretoria’s student portal, also known as the UP Portal, is every student’s 24/7 gateway to a world of essential information. Every student’s UP Login contains details uniquely applicable to them and their course – from the year’s academic calendar to exam results.

In order for persons who are Students, Staff, Alumni or authorised Guests to access UP systems, they will need to first complete the process described below to activate their UP Portal and create their UP Portal password .

Your password to clickUP will always be the same as the password you use to logon to UP Student Portal, your student email account, library account and wi-fi. The first time you log in, you will use your ID number / Passport number as a password .

Online registrations for current students on the UP Student Portal open from: 3 January 2025
