Apr 27, 2000 · Univox identified this bass as their Model 1920. Most of them were made in 1968 and were available in Sunburst or Jet Black finish. Recently these have been selling for between $350.00 on the low end up to $550.00 on Ebay.
Univox short scale - TalkBass.com
Nov 9, 2024 · The UniVox Mosrite copies were short scales. The bridge is not a big deal , iSay , as long as it's been placed where the strings will intonate. After I picked up mine I received some messages from collector friends that told me the UniVox copies were in some ways a better playing instrument than the original Mosrites.
Univox amps - TalkBass.com
Feb 9, 2004 · Long time ago (obviously) i was in band in which the lead guitarist had a stacked Univox amp. We played a big outdoor gig and i rented a similar bass amp. It was a Univox stack with, i think one 15 in a reflex enclosure and it was the best amp i ve played through to do this day (OK so that's not saying much but i took 25 years off).
Hi Flyer Bass: Univox or Eastwood? - TalkBass.com
Feb 24, 2009 · Univox. My drummer has one, pretty sweet sounding bass for short money. I wouldn't put any money on an eastwood sounding as good being as well constructed as a univox. Not that a univox is going to be a mosrite, but IMO basses univox made 30 years ago are probably better quality than basses eastwood is making today.
Univox Guitars - The Gear Page
Jan 9, 2013 · Univox built guitars other than than Hi Flyers, you know. I've posted pics of my Effie several times before but considering this is a Univox thread, there's no better time to repost. It's my #1 guitar, and everything's completely original and looks as fresh as the day it came out of the factory - 40 years ago.
Univox Tube Amp-Any Good? - TalkBass.com
Nov 19, 2006 · Univox/Unicord IMPORTED Marshall back in the day. So you could probably compare it to a Marshall of the Era. Guitarists would be climbing over each other to get it at $550, if they knew about this.
N (o)BD - 70's Univox Professional Bass - TalkBass.com
Jan 12, 2013 · It's a Univox P bass copy, with a very thin J style neck. It's quite light, my guess is around 8-8.5 lbs. The body is six (!) pieces of what I think is ash (correct me if I'm wrong), three on top and three on the back, with the joints staggered. It hasn't been played much, but has a few dings in the poly.
70's UNIVOX Badazz - TalkBass.com
Jun 5, 2008 · It has EMG Select pickups and it's been very nicely restored. The inlay on the head stock says "Unison" (Univox-Gibson = Unison) so it's definitely not vintage anymore, lol. Don't really care, it looks good and it should be a good player for my son. Worse case, the guy I bought it from said he would buy it back at the same price if my son didn ...
Unicord/Univox amps? - TalkBass.com
Dec 14, 2006 · Univox is a name that I haven't heard from since the 70s. You won't be able to find out much about this amp, I fear, unless you run across some Univox fansite on the Internet. I have no experience with this particular amp, however, I suspect that it's point to point or PCB wired discrete components - in other words, not to hard to test, or repair.
