Plus it seems slightly more reliable, easier to operate an and lighter. Can you have less recoil than an MP5?

Dec 1, 2022 · Fastest TTK is MP5, but I personally prefer the UMP :) Correct it does have low bullet velocity but it's a 45 round so it hits harder doing more damage over distance.

It is a little bit easier to mount optics with all the standard pic rails on it and I also find that the UMP is still extremely accurate. I have also found it to be 100% reliable. Obviously they offer a .40 and a 9mm but if you're getting a 9mm you might as well get a MP5.

The latter allows for a much lighter and smoother felt recoil, especially in full auto. Because the roller delayed blowback is significantly gentler to shoot than a simple blowback gun because the bolt is less massive.
