CARD is one of seven state-funded, university-based outreach and support centers in Florida dedicated to optimizing the potential of people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), dual sensory impairment, sensory impairments with other disabling conditions, and related disabilities.

CARD stands for the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. We are a collaborative program of the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University currently serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties.

CARD has several divisions and resources that were created to meet the specific needs of our families and community partners. Each division offers an array of support & services for both our families and professional community.

Why become a CARD Client? By becoming part of CARD, you will have access to: Individualized Consultations; Guidance and support within the South Florida Autism Community; Support for school age children; school observation and recommendations for accommodations/support, assistance with the IEP process and much more.

An online support group to help bring adults with autism together to interact, gain support from one another, and learn new skills. Participants must be registered with CARD, be 18 years or older, and be out of high school. They also must be able to sustain a reciprocal conversation and discuss a variety of topics. Phone screening is required.
