Apr 3, 2024 · Without any successful config changes in the UDMP, I have seen success in an M2 macbook, by manually setting the MTU in the network settings, and on Windows 11, by disabling "Large Send Offload" (both IPv4 & 6). But on my PS5, setting the MTU doesn't seem to work (though I'm honestly not sure I trust the built-in speed test).

If you turn ips/ids off, dpi off, all geo filtering off, etc then you’ll get a little better speeds but I finally switched out for an opnsense box (I’ve used unifi for probably 7-8 years or so and everything is unifi in my network so I didn’t take the switch lightly).

I was kicking around getting a USG and CK2 and then discovered the UDMP, so I held off until it was available. So, now that it is in GA I am considering picking one up as it seems to have better bang for the buck on newer hardware vs USG+CK2, despite the fact that the UDMP seems to provide a good bit of other functionality that I really don't need.

Feb 14, 2020 · The UDMP doesn't allow the user to halt the system before unplugging it. The controller runs mongodb which has been known to corrupt on abrupt power loss in cloud keys, although Ubiquiti says the UDM/UDMP don't have that same problem. Aug 26, 2021 · Yeah. I am on a gig line. 1000/1000 from verizon. ranging speeds depending what location I choose to test from (MD, VA, NY). But my AC86U cannot handle 3 power users at once. It constantly has bufferbloat issues. Enabling the QoS in the Asus in any way shape or form does not fix bufferbloat at all. Its horrible. Can't wait to install my UDMP

May 10, 2021 · Second I did go through my UDMP settings and found a few things that were causing interesting bits of latency in a way I hadn't expected. Geofencing (part of threat management) seemed to cause packet delivery to slow.

Jun 3, 2022 · I needed to set up a quick ad hoc VPN with my UDMP. I saw the Teleport feature, which I hadn't seen before. I set it up, it was a breeze. The only issue is that, at least on my clients using Android, none of my internal DNS will resolve. I can hit the endpoints via IP address, however, so the tunnel is working.
