Aug 5, 2021 · Hello! I've created numerous firewall rules on my UDM and would like to change up the order. In the firewall section, LAN rules, I can grab the 6-dot icon to the left of the rule and move throughout the list. However, it doesn't appear to allow me to drag and drop to reorder, and I see no other way to change the rule order. Any suggestions?

May 17, 2020 · I must admit I am not using a Ubiquiti router or firewall, but pfSense, but in essence the goal is identical. I have allowed access from my main LAN to the IP address of the Chromecast on my IOT network, with just the 3 TCP ports. I have no return traffic allowed, and streaming works just fine.

Jun 26, 2023 · Yes, just set up the interface in the fgt and set up the policy. Then create a network „vlan only“ on the ubiquiti switches. You do this in the fortigate, you set up rules which allow the access for the whole network, just some ports or just some devices. Can be configured as granular as you want it in the firewall rules.

Jul 8, 2022 · I like Ubiquiti gear except their firewall/routes. They are missing too many basic features. I would also look at Netgate Firewall (pfsense) much more feature packed with TAC support. Pfsense = IDP, IPS (Suricata/Snort), OpenVPN (now VPN licenses), Radius, Captative Portal, Geo Filtering, IPSEC VPN.

Sep 15, 2021 · One way ports that only allow related/established back are not really counter-productive. They let VLAN 1 establish a connection to VLAN 2 across those ports and all traffic flow after that, but any attempt for VLAN 2 to do the same towards VLAN 1 are blocked.
