I already have the USG, which seems to be perfectly sufficient for my 1Gbps connection, the US-8-60W which I've heard of issues with PoE and the U6E. Maybe a U6LR? The GWN7664 does look nice though. If I'm going away from Ubiquiti I'll probably replace everything.

Aug 1, 2023 · 100% agree there especially the router side of things with the threat signatures. I guess with Ubiquiti, if just L2 roaming is acceptable, IoT radio not needed, etc. then it may be a "decent" choice. Since you don't need to factor in support/licensing contracts it may make sense to just buy 5-10 more APs and keep them on a shelf for a just in case.

Jan 26, 2022 · I want to upgrade my home network. I currently have a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X SFP but that can't handle my ISP speed, so I was looking for a new router. The Dream Machine is a great alternative but I was wondering if there were any alternatives. I looked at Aruba but they don't really have a router (AFAIK).
