Jul 1, 2020 · ZnS is a semiconductor nanomaterial of direct and wide-bandgap. It is usually observed in two phases, cubic and hexagonal. The hexagonal phase has a wurtzite structure while the cubic phase has a zinc blende structure. For the cubic and hexagonal phases of ZnS, the bandgap energy is 3.68 eV and 3.80 eV, respectively.
