E-Week: Cardboard Boat Races Come join us for a chance to race your cardboard boat and win some prizes! Two free rolls of duct tape are available to be picked up from the Engineering Advising Office after you register.

Feb 21, 2024 · Paddle and Skedadel your way across the HPER to glory in your cardboard boat. There will be prizes for the fastest boat, the one that can hold the most weight, and the crowd’s favorite design.

Mar 3, 2022 · Utah State University student journalist Kaela Peterson talks to students in the College of Engineering who created floating boats using nothing but cardboard and duct tape. The boats were then put to the test in pool race during the annual Cardboard Boat Races.

This class covers the full range of boats and other paddlesports to compliment any type of vehicle. From packrafts to paddleboards, surfboards to canoes, and motorized vessels like Zodiacs and “tinnies”, we will discuss the advantages and limitations for each category.
