The Universities Space Research Association (USRA) is a nonprofit research corporation organized under the laws of the District of Columbia. USRA is also approved by the U.S. Government as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

USRA lunar and planetary scientists maintain strong expertise in producing topographic data (digital elevation models) and constructing visualizations of that data (static and dynamic 'fly-overs') focused on specific needs for research and exploration.

USRA works across disciplines including biomedicine, planetary science, astrophysics, and engineering and integrates those competencies into applications ranging from fundamental research to facility management and operations.
