Solid cast iron and cast UPRR 1882. Weighs close to 300 pounds! I have tried to figure out how many of these have survived and I come up with 7. The neat thing about them is they are cast with different dates and markings over the years. The ones I have seen or know about are: UPRR 1869 - Sacramento Railroad Museum UPRR 1871 - Private Collection
UPRR Sacramento Sub (CA) - Trainorders.com
Why is the UPRR Sacramento Subdivision listed in the timetable as a West/East railroad when it actually is North/South? The Fresno Sub, Coast Sub were West/East in the SP days (Geographic North/South) but it kind of surprises me that UP never has changed the direction of the Sacramento Sub to North/South.

What has happened to the UPRR Mulford Line? - Trainorders.com
The "Mulford" line on the UPRR Coast Subdivision used to be good for 70 MPH Passenger and 60 MPH Freight. Today I rode Train #11 from Oakland to San Jose and we went at a very slow speed from Elmhurst to almost Newark. I am looking at a slow order on the UP Bulletins that shows a slow order of 30 passenger and 25 freight from MP 14.0 to MP 24.7.

Remembering "Lynn Nystrom" -- UPRR Steam Engineer

Eugene OR, UPRR yard? - Trainorders.com
Agree that the Oregon or PNW traffic that the SP had would now be running from Portland through Hinkle and then into the heritage UPRR system, which killed Eugene and also the Modoc. CORP also generates approx two trains daily in their own system and hands them over to the UPRR for routing from Judkins/Eugene to KF to Roseville and then off to ...
Phoenix UPRR Questions - Trainorders.com
The MPXTU/MTUPX (Phoenix/Tucson) trains are usually 2 each way per day but not always. The MPXTU will have lots of centerbeam empties, empty auto racks, anywhere from 10 to 30 copper concentrate loads (FXE gondolas usually) and whatever else UP tacks on.
Remants of UPRR's ex-SP "SD40M-2" Fleet? - Trainorders.com
These were very good power for the SP and then the UPRR. I loved running them, especially the "Faux SD45s" as they were called which had had their original V-20s simply "cut down" by MK with a laser process patented by MK removing the middle 4 cylinders and crankshaft replacement turning them into standard 3000 HP V-16s like all the rest.
