The UFO Club (/ juːfoʊ / YEW-foh) was a short-lived British counter-culture nightclub in London in the 1960s. The club was established by Joe Boyd and John "Hoppy" Hopkins.

Oct 5, 2023 · Its 18-month run gave avant-garde artists a hub, opening its doors to light-show technicians, poets, and, most famously, Pink Floyd. The club’s original site was 31 Tottenham Court Road, and the opening night in December 1966 featured the then relatively unknown Floyd.

Dec 23, 2021 · Originally named “UFO Presents Nite Tripper”, before Boyd and Hopkins decided on the name “UFO”, the club was a place that offered a space for psychedelic music and appealing to the mod and alternative scene of the 60s.
