Welcome to Student Engagement & Leadership – SEAL! Student Engagement & Leadership (formerly OSL) promotes undergraduate and graduate student engagement and development through co-curricular programs, including campus organizations, fraternities, sororities, leadership development, and civic engagement.

Joining a fraternity or sorority at UCSB is a great way to open doors to countless opportunities and activities. When you become involved, you will enhance your educational experience by emphasizing intellectual, interpersonal, cultural, and social development.

Student Engagement & Leadership (SEAL) manages an online system for all things involvement called, Shoreline. Shoreline is UCSB’s official co-curricular platform which requires campus credentials. Users are affiliates of UCSB and are students, faculty, or staff.

The University of California Santa Barbara seal is typically reserved for official communications from the Chancellor’s office, legal documents, financial documents, awards, and other formal university communications.

Our Student Life Interns are experienced organizational leaders who have demonstrated academic and community success. They can help disseminate important information such as how to plan a successful event planning, utilizing Shoreline, finding funding, and how to maximize your campus experience.

The SEAL-SFAC (Student Fee Advisory Committee) Fund is a new SEAL funding source for UCSB Registered Campus Organizations (RCOs). The fund is meant to fund new and innovative student initiatives on campus.
