The tzouras (Greek: τζουράς), is a Greek stringed musical instrument related to the bouzouki. Its name comes from the Turkish cura. It is made in six-string and eight-string varieties. Similar musical instruments in Turkish culture are generally referred to as Bağlama.

This is a premium musical instrument, a replica of the rebetika genre tzouras. It arrived in Greece in the 1900s by Asia Minor immigrants and soon became one of the most popular traditional string musical instruments.

TZOURAS: This is a small version of baglamas, with a very small body (kavouraki), the size of a serving spoon. It is made of mulberry wood and is carved. Its name is Turkish (tzoura, meaning little / small). The neck of the tzouras is longer than that of baglamas. TAMBOURAS: This is the Patriarch of the bouzouki and baglamas.

The baglama and the tzouras are small, long-necked lutes derived from the bouzouki. The three instruments make up the typical ensemble associated with rebetiko music and songs. The tzouras is very similar to the bouzouki. Their main difference lies in their size.
