Tyrone C. Howard is an American educator, academic, and author. He is a professor of Education in the School of Education and Information Studies [1] and the Founder and executive director of the Black Male Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles. [2]

Tyrone Howard was convicted of manslaughter and served 11 months in prison. In 2005, the incident attracted some attention again when it was revealed that Tyrone Howard is the father of actor Terrence Howard, who witnessed the incident as a young boy.

Tyrone C. Howard is Pritzker Family Endowed Chair and professor in the School of Education & Information Studies at UCLA. He is also the former Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Howard’s research examines equity, culture, race, teaching, and learning.

Tyrone Howard is a professor of education in the School of Education and Information Studies at UCLA. His research addresses issues tied to race, culture, access and educational opportunity for minoritized student populations.

Tyrone C. Howard, PhD holds the Pritzker Family Endowed Chair, and is professor in the School of Education & Information Studies at UCLA.
