Best Method for Controlling Dual Y-Axis Motors with Mach3: …
Dec 2, 2024 · For the Y-axis, I have two motors: One method is to connect both motors' Pulse and Direction pins to the same parallel port pins (common signal method). The other method is to connect the second motor's Pulse and Direction pins to the A-axis outputs and configure Mach3 to slave the A-axis to the Y-axis.
2 motors on Y axis, they are going opposite directions
Dec 30, 2023 · Sculpfun s10 with expansion kit with 2 Y Axis motors, with 32 bit motherboard with auto air assist. Motors are moving opposite directions. If one is going one way and the other is going opposite, then you will need to swap a pair of wires on the motor going the wrong way.
I have two motors on my Y axis - OpenBuilds
Sep 14, 2020 · After about 10 to 15 minutes my y-axis stepper motors seem to be running at different speeds. One side of my y-axis opens up roughly about an inch and a half. Obviously this throws off my zero and my design is all out of whack.
Two Motors and Endstops on one Axes - CNCzone
Jun 19, 2022 · I would like to use 2 motors and 2 end stops on the Y-axis on my portal milling machine. my board is the MK3/9 with current firmware, how do I define these two motors including endstops in the settings? and how are the endstops used in homing using both.

Jan 6, 2022 · Using one steper driver for two motors (for z axis) and using it for auto z align. Is it possible on the skr 2?
2 steppers driving the Y axis - machsupport.com
Apr 21, 2012 · You'll need an additional drive for the second Y axis motor. Set up the additional motor as the A axis, and go to config > slaving and check the box to slave the A to the Y ( I think that's what you're saying).
Running two closed loop stepper motors on the same y axis?
Aug 21, 2021 · You cannot connect two closed loop motors into one driver since the encoders would fight each outer. The y axis step and direction output can be connected to both drivers so the motors will move the same amount.
Synchronized 2-Axis Motion With Variable Speed (Arduino + LEDs + 28BYJ ...
Synchronized 2-Axis Motion With Variable Speed (Arduino + LEDs + 28BYJ-48): This tutorial shows how to move two stepper motors so they will synchronously arrive at defined destination point. There are many sophisticated solutions for doing this such as GRBL or Marlin.
How do I put two motors on the same axis – BuildYourCNC
Sep 30, 2018 · Yes, you can use 2 motors in the same axis output, however you will still need a driver for that stepper motor. Also depending on the orientation on which you mount the motor you might have to invert the direction of the motor, and that will be simple by swapping the A+,A-, to the B+,B- locations and vice versa, from t
A Mini-Documentary on how I Installed Dual Y-axis on my 2018 ... - Reddit
Mar 29, 2023 · The 2 Z-axis ports on the mainboard are wired in parallel to the same Z-stepper driver, again, as I expected. From here, I just spliced together 2 stepper motor cables for the Y-axis so I could run 2 steppers from the 1 Y-driver on the mainboard.
