I'd save Omid. He was one of few characters in S1 I was genuinely fond of, and I was crushed when he died. His spirits and humor was refreshing and, I think, would be important for a group's morale in the long run. And iirc, there wasn't really anything proving he was less skillful or knowledgeable than Christa.
