Jun 4, 2021 · Keeping more than one tortoise can work just fine. The problem is keeping them in PAIRS. When there are just two of them, its a problem. This would also apply to box turtles. Groups of juveniles and babies are usually fine. As adults, you can keep groups in a large, well planted enclosure with one male and 3-4 females.

Sep 25, 2012 · So, the Carolina box turtle (Terrapene carolina) contains several subspecies, and the ornate box turtle (Terrapene ornata) contains two subspecies, but the Carolina and ornate box turtles are in different species altogether. They coexist in parts of the Great Plains, but they do not really hybridize there.

Apr 20, 2013 · When I was younger the family dog used to get fleas from time to time and infest the house, when this happened my mother used to put large saucers of soapy water on the floor in each room and hang a light directly above it fairly close to the floor, the fleas jump up at the light and land in the water, the soap prevents them from swimming and they drown.

The Western and Eastern Boxies are differant species within the same genus, whom can breed and produce offspring.
