Since 1943, Turnstone has been honored to empower the lives of people with disabilities thanks to the family of volunteers, donors, and supporters who have continued to invest their time, talent, and treasure into our programs and services.

Turnstone is Northeast Indiana's only free-standing not-for-profit organization providing a comprehensive continuum of supportive services addressing the unique needs of people with disabilities and their families.

Turnstone services are unduplicated and meet a vital need in Fort Wayne. We offer pediatric therapy, adult day services, social services, and more.

Turnstone provides services to meet the needs of kids and adults with physical, visual, developmental, and neurological disabilities and their families.

In 1994, Turnstone added a gym to its facilities, enhancing and expanding the Sports and Recreation program, paving the way for athlete success. Turnstone offers adaptive sports programs for youth, ages 5 and up, adults, and veterans who have physical or visual, intellectual, or developmental disabilities. We offer recreational, competitive, and elite-level fitness and sports programs, clinics, camps, and tournaments .

Turnstone’s Fitness & Aquatic Center is the only exercise facility in northeast Indiana universally designed to include people of all abilities. Contact a fitness staff member for a new member assessment.

Turnstone lends gently-used adaptive equipment and other items at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals with disabilities. Equipment loans are intended to be temporary. However, Turnstone recognizes that some items will be used on a long-term basis.
