Stanislaus Trip Report CA Fishing help within 4ish hrs from San Jose Trip to Sonoma County, CA Not mentioned is the Russian River which 2 hrs from Napa above Ukiah is stocked with trout.

Apr 13, 2008 · If you want good trout fishing on the fly I would go to Rose River Farm. Its about 1.5 hours from DC just of route 29 as you head to Charlottesville. Trophy rainbow trout fishing on about a mile and a half of private water. Very reasonable rates for the quality of the fishery and the beauty of the surroundings.

Lengths may start at 18" and work their way out to 3' so 18"-18-18-24-24-30-36. leave off the 36" of 4lb to get a 11' 6lb wet fly leader.
