The E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM33 is essential for cytosolic RNA …
In this study, we have presented data showing that the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM33 plays a critical role in the cytosolic dsRNA-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation by targeting the dsRNA sensor DHX33.
TRIM33 - Wikipedia
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM33, also known as (ectodermin homolog and tripartite motif-containing 33) is a protein encoded in the human by the gene TRIM33, a member of the tripartite motif family.
TRIM33 plays a critical role in regulating dendritic cell ... - Nature
May 31, 2024 · In this study, we identified TRIM33 as a critical regulator of DC differentiation and maintenance. TRIM33 deletion in Trim33fl/fl Cre-ER T2 mice significantly impaired DC differentiation from...
TRIMmunity: The roles of the TRIM E3-ubiquitin ligase family in …
Research efforts so far indicate that the antiviral activity of TRIMs relies, for the most part, on their function as E3-ubiquitin ligases. A substantial number of the TRIM-family members have been demonstrated to mediate innate immune cell signal transduction and …
Tumour suppressor TRIM33 targets nuclear β-catenin degradation
Feb 2, 2015 · Here we demonstrate that the tripartite motif-containing protein 33 (TRIM33), acting as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, reduces the abundance of nuclear β-catenin protein.
The E3 Ubiquitin Ligase Tripartite Motif 33 Is Essential for Cytosolic ...
Oct 1, 2014 · In this study, we report that TRIM33, a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family, can bind DHX33 directly and induce DHX33 ubiquitination via the lysine 218 upon dsRNA stimulation. Knocking down of TRIM33 abolished the dsRNA-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation in both THP-1–derived macrophages and human monocyte-derived macrophages.
TRIM33 Gene - GeneCards | TRI33 Protein | TRI33 Antibody
Mar 30, 2025 · UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Summary for TRIM33 Gene Acts as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. Promotes SMAD4 ubiquitination, nuclear exclusion and degradation via the ubiquitin proteasome pathway.
E3 ubiquitin ligase Trim33 ubiquitylates Annexin A2 to promote …
Sep 1, 2022 · Trim33 ubiquitylates Anxa2 and promotes inflammation in keratinocytes via Anxa2/ NF-κB pathway. Tripartite motif-containing protein 33, a member of the TRIM E3 ligase family, is shown to be involved in tumorigenesis, cell proliferation and inflammation.
TRIM33 - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Interestingly, TRIM33 is known to have a E3 ubiquitin ligase RING domain that can cause ubiquitin and degradation of SMAD4 (Dupont et al., 2005). Indeed, we noticed elevated level of SMAD4 protein, but not its mRNA in Trim33 -deficient Th17 cells.
Cellular TRIM33 restrains HIV-1 infection by targeting viral
Feb 25, 2019 · Here we report that the E3 RING ligase TRIM33 is a major determinant of HIV-1 IN stability. CD4-positive cells with TRIM33 knock down show increased HIV-1 replication and proviral DNA...
