Trigun Stampede is solely a "remake/reboot/remix" of the Trigun manga. It's not disrespecting anyone. From the official side, they never claimed this to be a remake of the old Trigun anime.

I'd say yes, for its own merit. Trigun Stampede is VERY melancholic, and takes it self serious from the beginning, Episode 1 and right before the end of Episode 2 being massive red herrings if you're expecting a goofy sci-fi western with dark undertones.

Mar 3, 2023 · There are clearly a lot of people that enjoy this version of Trigun, so it can’t be a bad show, but it does feel bad to me personally. If you haven’t seen the original then you don’t have anything to compare it to and I think have a better chance of enjoying it.

In conclusion, the Trigun remake is a visually stunning piece of animation with a disappointing core. It suffers from a poorly executed script, rushed pacing, and underdeveloped characters that fail to capture the essence of the original series.
