A Harmonic Mixing Wheel for Traktor : r/DJs - Reddit
Feb 22, 2016 · Traktor gives you a key, say 11d. Theoretically, you can mix two songs assigned with the same box of 11d, or move down, left, or right and the mix will be "harmonic." Traktor isn't perfect at detecting keys, though, so you'll still have to use your ear to be the final judge on whether a mix sounds good.
Camelot Wheel using Traktor's new "Open Key" notation - DJ …
In Traktor's most recent update (2.6.1 for those of you in the future), key detection was added using a new notation apparently called "Open Key". Personally I was already using Mix In Key and it's Camelot notation so I took a closer look at this new system and noticed that it is a one-to-one relationship (8A=1m, 9A=2m, ect.) but the numbers ...
Understanding Traktor Key Knob - DJ TechTools
Traktor's key knob when centered at 50% (of course) is the key your song is in (with Keylock on). Each full increment of the knob up or down is a musical half step. Example: your song is in the key of C (1d), moving the knob to +1 will change the key to C# (8d), +2 would make the key D (3d), +3=D#(10d) etc.

Help with New key detection in Traktor.... - DJ TechTools
If you're familiar with the Camelot wheel, the Open key is the same except m = minor and d = major (something to do with Latin), as the Camelot thing is now owned by Mixed in Key. In Traktor, you've got two settings, "write" and "display" - "write" controls how Traktor's key detection writes to the tags, as musical keys, or as the new open key ...
KEYS - Difference from (example) 6m/6d keys and 6A/6B? : r/DJs
Dec 14, 2021 · Traktor uses open key notation such as 1d/1m and d is for major, m for minor based on German dur/moll. Open key 1d is C major, which would be 8B on the camelot wheel. The way they move around the circle is still the same following the Circle of Fifths theory.
Combined Camelot and Open Key Notation Wheel : r/DJs - Reddit
Mar 26, 2016 · Made this one about a week ago, after not being able to find a similar wheel that combined both the Mixed in Key and Open Key Notation (Traktor et al). Decided to share it so that people converting keys back and forth between the two systems (i.e. Traktor users using Rekordbox for the occasional CDJ gig) and can more clearly see how to apply ...
Traktor Key Detection - DJ TechTools
I see Traktor has its own open key system e.g. 1d, 2d etc. I added two fields to the browser, both the Key and Key Tex field. What I'm confused about is that they don't seem to be matching. For example when I sort by Key Text field, there are numerous different open keys opposite it in the Key column. E.g Amin has some of 1m, 2m, 3m, 4m, 8m, 12m.
