High Street, Towyn, North Wales old postcard, mid 1970s. It wasn't until I looked at Streetview and worked-out the county name change that I realised this and the previous card are the same place. Not helping either is the fact that Towyn is now known as Tywyn (I have a later card which I'll try and scan-in next).

Back in the 1970's,I remember my Fathers cousin (Glyn James) coming from Canada or USA & staying at my parents house for about a week as he was either a beneficiary or an executor of a will for a farm or similar on the A493 in Towyn.

Just great memories, not been back since the late 1970s. Dream Posting. I was in the Army in 1966 when I was fortunate to be posted to Morfa Camp. It was the Army Outward Bound School then and catered mainly for Junior Leaders. They did a 3 week course there during which they engaged in rock climbing, canoeing and general outside activities.
