Jun 5, 2020 · Given that the AI for the opponents in Touhou 9 isn’t given a specific set of instructions to follow every game, it in essence is luck based. It isn’t like a normal Touhou game in which the opponent will do the same thing every time you play through the game. That’s also why you usually lose 1 life and then can continue without issue.

If the problem is the game being really small, you can install vpatch and within the vpatch.cfg set the width of the window to 1280 and the height to 960 (twice the size, four times the surface area) or if your monitor is really huge (4k or something) you can set it to 1920 x 1440 (3x size, 9x surface area) or even 2560 x 1920 (4x size, 16x surface area)
