Tōtara Haumaru is due for completion in December 2023 and will provide up to eight extra operating theatres, four new endoscopy suites and up to 150 new beds – helping us meet the needs of our vibrant, fast-growing and culturally diverse population of over 643,000 people.

Our gynaecology services offer comprehensive care, including general and specialty clinics, day surgery and inpatient services. Key areas include gynaeoncology, urogynaecology, period pain and endometriosis, and colposcopy.

The $317 million Tōtara Haumaru building was officially opened on Sunday by Health Minister Dr Shane Reti. Thirteen patients are scheduled for surgery on the first day.
