Feb 27, 2023 · CONCORD, NH—NHTI – Concord’s Community College is saddened to acknowledge the passing of Tom Walton, NHTI faculty member, athletics coach, and member of the NHTI Athletics Hall of Fame. Tom Walton first became involved with NHTI when he served on the committee for the inaugural NHTI/Delta Dental 5K road race in Fall 2004.

May 24, 2022 · George Thompson Walton Jr. (Tom), 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at his home on Granite Lake, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Keene Valley, New York on February 22, 1939, he was the son of George Thompson Walton, Sr. and Mazie (Sayre) Walton.

Tom Walton was a treasure and a local hero to the Concord youth sports and endurance sports communities for decades. His can-do attitude made him a natural teacher and trainer who influenced a generation of athletes of many stripes.

Tom Walton is an ample part of the NHTI Athletics Family. Walton helped construct and build the NHTI cross country program into a YSCC powerhouse over the years passing off the torch to current head coach Perry Seagroves. Walton was recognized in 2020 being named to the NHTI Athletics Hall of Fame.

Feb 17, 2023 · Tommy had a heart attack on Monday afternoon, February 13th, at the Contoocook River boat ramp in Penacook, NH. Unattended for perhaps 40 minutes, without breathing, everything succumbed. No Memorial is planned at this time.
