The Tobu 30000 series (東武30000系, Tōbu 30000-kei) is a DC electric multiple unit (EMU) commuter train type operated by the private railway operator Tobu Railway in Japan since 1997. [3] Initially formed as six-car and four-car sets, sets are mostly formed as permanently coupled ten-car formations since 2011.

東武30000系電車（とうぶ30000けいでんしゃ）は、1996年（平成8年）に登場した東武鉄道の通勤形電車である。1997年（平成9年）3月25日から営業運転を開始した。

The 30000 Series is a four-door commuter-type electric multiple unit designed by Tobu for multiple lines. It was designed to replace the 10000 Series and also to run on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line and Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line.

The 30000 series was initially introduced to Tobu Isesaki Line and through-services towards Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line. 15 four and six-carriage units were introduced in total, and many four-car units formed six coaches with a two-car unit of 10000 series until the early-2000s.

Tobu series 30000 are built for connecting service to Hanzomon Line in 1996. They have a continuous design from series 10030, with stainless body and brown stripe. As series 50050 have built, series 30000 are now mainly used in overgroud Isesaki lines from Asakusa.

The trains of Tobu Railway have been turning into the Tokyu Line since March of 2003, when Hanzomon Line of TRTA was extended.
