Tinahely (Irish: Tigh na hÉille) [2] is a village in County Wicklow in Ireland. It is a market town in the valley of the River Derry, a tributary of the River Slaney. Tinahely is on the R747 road which links the west Wicklow town of Baltinglass with Arklow on the east coast. Arklow is 20 km to the east (27 km by road).

Feb 25, 2015 · Tinahely is a market town in the valley of the Derry River, a tributary of the River Slaney. Destroyed in the 1798 Rebellion, the town was rebuilt in the early 1800’s by Earl Fitzwilliam and thrived as a market town.

Our aim is to preserve the unique heritage of Tinahely and its townlands recorded in images captured on the earliest cameras to the present day and found in maps, documents, family histories and the community memory bank.

Jul 13, 2017 · A set of three loop walks taking in the wonderful scenery of South Wicklow all starting close to the village of Tinahely. Tinahely A Loop This walk takes in elements of the Tinahely Railway Walk, The Wicklow Way and circles around Muskeagh Hill.

Tinahely (village) Distance from Wicklow Way: 2.0 km. A typical, traditional estate village, with an attractive central market building and adjacent courthouse. The latter now houses the vibrant Tinahely Arts Centre and theatre.
