Tianeptine is usually well tolerated and doesn't have many side-effects. It doesn't cause sexual problems which is very frequent side-effect of SSRIs/SNRIs.

Jul 7, 2012 · Tianeptine has very short half-life, and this means that it has for sure some indirect long-trem effect on brain's endogenuous opioid system. In my experience, Tianeptine is something much more weaker than heroin and cocaine combination, but it is the drug that has effect of that kind, that sort.

Dec 30, 2012 · My friend started trying 50-75 mg doses of tianeptine and found that 62.5 and 75 mg both produced a fairly pronounced opioid high which came on 45-60 minutes after taking it (he has been taking it with food) and lasted 2-3 hours. He was careful to only take it once a day, rather than trying to chase the short-lived high by taking more.

If one were used to 12.5mg Tianeptine sodium three times per day, that person would take around 40mg once per day to reach a similar therapeutic effect.

I would say that in general, it is much safer to take kratom than tianeptine, especially if you are taking high doses of tianeptine. Kratom has a longer duration of action so if it works for you dosing might be 1 - 3 times/day.
