Oct 12, 2021 · As for Tian Xia itself, there are many real world equivalents for various countries with a few other influences thrown in as well. As the Dragon Empires Gazetter says, the setting is heavily influenced by the works of Akira Kurosawa and Studio Ghibli. In addition to a lot of wuxia fiction from China and various movies/dramas from Korea.

I'm not sure how many signs the Tian Xia zodiac has, but if it's anything like the IRL Chinese zodiac I'd assume 12 options (or 13 if there's an equivalent to how the cat is a "missing" member). If you only take one for the whole archetype (or choose a few like Thaumaturge implements), there would absolutely be enough.

Jul 24, 2023 · They also have their own calendar which has never been explained. There is Absolom Reckoning (AR), the Imperial Calendar (IC) of Tian Xia which converts perfectly by adding 2500 years to AR, and then there is mention of the mysterious SOVEREIGN SCROLL which I cannot find anywhere.
