Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2000 with the mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness through applied research.

In 2021, ASTRI launched one of the world's largest C-V2X public road tests in Hong Kong, covering a 14 km route with various road environments of Hong Kong. Since 2023, ASTRI has launched CAV/C-V2X trails in different areas of Hong Kong.

ASTRI shall have the right to claim for all losses and damages from Supplier for any loss or damage suffered by ASTRI as a result of Supplier’s non-compliance with such tax laws and/or foreign exchange laws.

ASTRI’s core R&D competence in various areas is grouped under five Technology Divisions: Advanced Electronic Components and Systems; Artificial Intelligence and Trust Technologies; Communications Technologies; Innovative Mind; and IoT Sensing and AI Technologies.
