TG&Y was a five and dime, or chain of variety stores and larger discount stores in the United States. At its peak, there were more than 900 stores in 29 states.

After McCrory's purchased TG&Y in January 1986, they immediately began preparations to liquidate the chain. All locations were closed by the first week of April, 1986.
