Jul 1, 2018 · Hi all, i'm new to tether cars and new to this forum. I purchased this tether car at auction last weekend as I've always been interested in having one just for display. The lot description was "Roy Cox Thimble Drome Champion tether car with glow plug engine, circa 1950s, original used condition, untested, 24cm long approx."

May 2, 2024 · with a tether line and small 6ft pool simple enough to try pitches / diameters and flywheel masses. This vid shows the early days with non Cox engines -less power. Note the prop was small enough to keep the engine running under static load.
