Somehow the RWD cars are so well balanced between rear regeneration and front turning scrub that I just stopped rotating tires on the RWD M3s.

It started at Zero to 60 in 4.7 seconds, then a free software upgrade reduced that to 4.2 seconds in 2018.

Nov 24, 2016 · The AWD Model 3 and it's super sensitive and smart electronic driver aides is the best thing for slick roads since winter tires. As a lifelong powder hound I've driven through far more than my share of severe winter weather (I love it) and I've never driven a car that handles better in the snow and ice.

Aug 11, 2023 · For those that use Teslogic - you can actually see when the motors are in use live in the vehicle, and as others have indicated here - for the most part unless you're demanding a lot of power and/or there are traction control issues in play - both the 3/Y only use the rear motors for propulsion and for regen braking.

Apr 20, 2021 · Some cars with 18" wheels have recently been sighted with Tesla-specific Hankook Kinergy GT tires instead of the Tesla-specific Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires. The AWD cars all have the higher capacity NCA battery, while the current (2022+, some late 2021) RWD cars have LFP batteries.
