The Tenkile Conservation Alliance (TCA) is a not for profit organisation based in Papua New Guinea. TCA aims to help save: Tree Kangaroos, biodiversity of the Torricelli Mountain Range, people, cultural identity, the planet in general.

The Tenkile Conservation Alliance (TCA), was originally established in 2001, to protect the unique biodiversity of the Torricelli Mountain Range; PNG. TCA uses the tree kangaroos as flagship species for achieving broad forest conservation outcomes with a main objective to establish this mountain range as a legislated Conservation Area.

Three tree kangaroo flagship species to be protected: the Tenkile (Dendrolagus scottae) (CR), Weimang (D. pulcherrimus) (CR) and the Grizzled tree kangaroo (D. inustus) (Vulnerable (VU)). Additionally the Northern Glider (Petaurus abidi) (CR) and the Black Spotted Cuscus (Spilocuscus rufoniger) (CR) to be included.

The Tenkile Conservation Alliance (TCA) relies on the understanding and interest of these landowners to conduct successful conservation work in the area. TCA is only able to undertake its field based conservation work with the endorsement of these landowners.

Since the Tenkile Conservation Alliance established a hunting moratorium for this species in 2006, people have reported this species close to the village and in areas of land that have not had tree kangaroos for over 20 years.
