Mar 8, 2009 · I'm thinking about getting a Teknic violator in a groupbuy and was wondering if anyone has any experience with their jacket sizing. I'm about 6'0" 185-190 and 40.5" chest. I've bought two jackets in the past around size 40 (one med one actual size 40) and they fit fine, but Teknic's chart says a 40" chest jacket only has a 30-31" waist.

Mar 30, 2010 · The Teknic size chart says the jacket size equals the chest measurement. You want your gear to be snug so that it doesn't move around if you have a get-off - you want the armored parts to stay in place or else they're no good.

Sep 29, 2009 · Got a question on sizing. I'd like to support a nesba supporter and get a teknic suit. In A* I'm wearing a 46, but from the teknic sizing doesn't look so much so. I'm 6'2 and 205lbs. The chart shows a 50...no way? Any one about my size, what do you wear? I use a back protector under the suit too Thanks nesbians!

You can use Teknic’s size chart to choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. The heights listed for the smaller size ranges are about right for maximum heights, but I’d say you’d need to be 1” to 2” shorter than the height listed in the larger size suits (46 and up).
