Jun 26, 2019 · Thanks very much for this - it confused me because "right click" calls it the "Task Pane" but the Preferences option calls it the "Tools Pane". I can see documents full size in the Window now when I open them, rather than having a quarter of the window full of the "Tools" pane, then having to minimise this before closing it completely as well.

Apr 12, 2019 · Same problem here. The checkbox may affect the left-hand-side tools pane, but the right-hand-side Bookmarks pane opens every damn time, and it takes up a third of the screen. Please make it stop! I don't ever need to use a Bookmark in the first place. I use almost entirely 1 page and 2 page engineering drawings.

Check the box that says Remember current state of Tools Pane. This setting ensures that the tools pane will remain minimized if it was minimized the last time you used Adobe Acrobat Reader. Jul 27, 2020 · You know, the pane that has an icon at the bottom and has the tool tip of "Hide Task Pane", that hides the pane when you click it... Considering that the original poster called it the Task Pane, and described the exact same issue I'm encountering, I believe it is called the task pane. It is this pane that keeps resetting to the default.

Oct 3, 2018 · To clarify: I still want to view the comments panel, but don't want the Task Pane icons visible on the right side. It's distracting and covers up valuable document space. We view a lot of detailed text documents and comments at my workplace, so it helps to have the most viewing space possible.
