Aug 9, 2022 · Now for fighting the Tarrasque. A simple way to reduce the speed is caltrops. Given that it never says anything about attacking, and there's no attack roll, I'd guess that stepping on them is not an attack, just like fall damage, and thus the Tarrasques immunity to nonmagical piercing attacks doesn't apply.

Technically, it would make a difference if a player is carrying the elemental adept feat, or uses Elemental Bane to bypass the resistance (though that does require an upcast to get around the limited magic immunity.)
