Feb 9, 2012 · Anybody ever hunt tahr by mt. Taylor? If so what do you look for, how do you hunt them...etc! And if you are willing to give some locations where you have seen them would be great as well! Thanks!

It's a lot more comfortable. I looked at the Apollo and the Tahr bags and finally settled on the Tahr. I like the flexibility of the Tahr. It's a simple bag that you can compress or fill way up to 4000+ cu in. Kifaru seems very conservative on their sizes because the Tahr seems way bigger than 3400 cu in.

Jul 6, 2008 · There are ample free range hunting areas for Tahr in New Zealand. The good Tahr hunting properties are free range with the degree of difficulty varying due to the terrain and the hunters fitness levels. There may be some Tahr hunting behind wire but this is uncommon. I have hunted Tahr and Chamois with the bow here and you need to be fit.

Aug 3, 2017 · A 3400 CI, solid colored Tahr from Kifaru costs $224. Now, I'm not the smartest guy in the world but, those two numbers from the frame and the Tahr bag equal Exactly $10 more than the solid color EXO 3500 costs.

Aug 3, 2023 · The standoff carried on until dark. We went back the next morning after an all-night blizzard, and the goats were still down there! … not sure if they ever made it back out. One thing I am fairly sure of is that our bear did not morph into a tahr and fall down the mountain.

Dec 24, 2022 · Im going to be helping a good friend of mine in New Zealand this spring. He has a few openings still available. Tahr chamoi and Red stag. All free range. Ill be there March and April.

I've used them on two different hunts (New Zealand stag & tahr as well as free range aoudad)and one fishing trip to Alaska. Nice folks and seem to be really in touch with the outfitters they represent.

Mar 24, 2020 · Thx Bowfreak. Yea, used them quite a bit actually. Spent a little over a month in New Zealand and Australia last year and shot a couple dz animals of all sizes from fallow Deer, Sambar, axis, red stag, tahr, rusa and even shot one of my buffalo with one.
