TZM Alloy | Moly TZM | Elmet Technologies
TZM is an alloy of 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium and 0.03% carbon with the balance molybdenum. Elmet offers a range of TZM rod diameters ranging from .030″ to over 1.0″ that can be cut to size to customer specified thickness, length, surface finish. We also offer precision machining, threaded rod, and gun-drilled rod.
strength solution for high temperature applications. TZM is stronger than pure molybdenum and possesses a higher recrystallization temperature and better creep resistance. Commonly used in applications involving demanding mechanical loads, it’s recommended use temperature is between 1292°F (700°C) & 2552°F (1400°C). What is TZM?
Elmet Technologies produces TZM molybdenum alloy powder (Mo +0.5%Ti +0.1%Zr) for laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) and directed energy deposition (DED) additive manufacturing processes.

This specification covers carbon-deoxidized TZM alloy (molybdenum + 0.5 % titanium + 0.08 % zirconium) wrought bar of produced from ingots consolidated by the Elmet Technologies consumable electrode vacuum-arc-casting process.
Forging Dies | Molybdenum Alloys - H.C. Starck Solutions
Elmet Technologies (formerly H.C. Starck Solutions) features two primary forging die alloys: MHC and TZM. The MHC alloy, which stands for molybdenum-hafnium-carbide, is consolidated by an efficient powder metallurgy process.
Elmet Technologies manufactures high quality TZM foil, sheet, and plate for use in furnace components and other applications that require high strength and creep resistance at high temperatures.

TZM Molybdenum Alloy - Vulcan Metal Group
TZM, the acronym for Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum, adds 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium, and 0.02% carbon to pure Molybdenum. This combination enhances its strength, creep resistance and thermal stability. With a melting point of 2,623 degrees Celsius (4,753 F) it is used in high temperature applications.
