In my headcanon, 98462 is an LNER Class B4 named Worsdell, and was a bully to the other engines, especially Edward. 87546 was a C1 Class Atlantic named Robinson, and he was still boastful, but had a soft spot for Thomas and Edward.

Feb 7, 2023 · Probably not, as some other users have already stated, both 87546 and 98462 would've been sent away by the time the events of HTGE took place. They're most likely either one of the 80 engines on the NWR (or however many they had by the mid 1930s), or an engine borrowed from the LMS.
