The Gunk is an action-adventure game in which you play as Rani, part of our duo of gritty space haulers. As they’re struggling to bring in funds, they chance upon an untouched planet brimming with life.

The Gunk is a story-driven action-adventure video game played from a third-person perspective. In the game, the player assumes control of Rani, a scavenger who has arrived on an alien planet with her partner Becks.

Gunk is the built-up grime and grit produced by Duplicants' bionic mechanisms. It is unpleasantly viscous. A Apothecary can be used to convert 80 kg Gunk and 200 kg of Water into Gear Balm, which is an early game substitute for a Lubrication Station.
