The Ebony A2 features the same preamp design as the A1, less the front-panel line/instrument input jack, but is configured for use with stereo signals, so there's only one set of knobs and switches in the preamp section, and no low-cut filter or pad.

Each of its two channels on the A1 features mic and instrument inputs, input and output gain knobs, and a Tube Warmth control, in addition to a 90kHz low-cut filter, a phase switch, a 30dB pad switch, and selectable phantom power.

Jan 26, 2021 · I think @audio -clinic and @Nashou66 are suggesting removing the broken part from the splined shaft of the volume control, then fixing it with the strongest glue possible with both pieces OFF the A1.

Mar 26, 2010 · The TL Audio A1 Ebony (700 euros new) seems to offer what I'm looking for: a combi between discrete class A and tube. I also found a 2nd hand DBX 586 for approx. 300 euros. Is it worth to spend those 700 on a new TLA A1, or would a DBX 586 give the same (or better?) quality?

Comes with 2 inputs for HI Z and is better built than the Ivory & UI suspect the Ebony will be no better. But there are so many other alternatives out there, why stick to just TLA stuff?
