May 6, 2010 · You can check the frequency of the TO-8 using the frequency counter on your DMM, if so supplied. IIRC, the TO-8 replaced the TO-122A. I have the 122A. It has a very stable output.

Feb 22, 2013 · Teac 80-8 sounds way way better than a Fostex 80. I’ve owned and used both. Aside from just having a better quality sound and being a better quality machine, the sound characteristic differences would be the 80-8 has more vintage vibe, fatter, more punch, etc.
