car turns over but won't start after sitting for 4 hrs
Jul 25, 2009 · After reading numerous articles and going back to the original tdi faq. I unplugged the engine coolant sensor harness. Cranked over the car and it started within a few seconds. It was smoking but running (a tad rough). I've ordered the sensor (2 actually). I'll keep one as a spare. After i install it, i'll test/check the car and post what i find.

Jun 25, 2006 · Battery light on dash, and car does not start. No codes New battery, alternator, fuel filter, junction box on top of battery. Car will run for a week, start it, drive to the corner and it dies, always dies right after starting and drive 1/8 mile (5 times). I get the car started with starter fluid, small spray, and let it run.

There have been a few posts recently about cars with the DSG transmission that don't want to start when the temperature is below about 10 Degrees, F. Here is a link to one of them.
